Description: On January 15, 2013, Plaintiff was driving in the Bronx, New York near Nereid Avenue and Ely Avenue. Plaintiff was stopped without cause by two defendant officers. Defendants ordered Plaintiff out of his car and slammed him against it, then searched the car without Plaintiff's consent. After Plaintiff was detained for half an hour, two defendant officers presented Plaintiff with a DMV traffic summons for a defective headlight, despite Plaintiff’s headlights were working. Plaintiff took his car to a police precinct immediately thereafter, where a different police officer provided him with a paper confirming that his headlights were in working order.
