Description: On June 2, 2020 Plaintiffs Alexander Fermin, Mia Boday, and Elliot Cronin-Lions were marching in a BLM protest in Manhattan. The NYPD monitored and followed the protest, and at around 8:30 pm, the NYPD began to become more aggressive and followed the protest far closer than earlier. Plaintiffs placed themselves at the rear of the march, and the Officer Fritz Hector taunted Plaintiff Fermin that he could arrest them if he wanted. He grabbed Fermin from behind as other NYPD officers began throwing and beating protestors with batons. Fermin was thrown to the ground, and numerous Officers piled on top of him.
