Summary

On February 4, 2016, at approximately 6:00 a.m., Det. Javier Velez and other members of Queens Gang Squad executed a search warrant at the residence of [redacted] located at [redacted] in Queens (Allegation A). [redacted] was in her bedroom when Det. Matthew Maxwell and two other officers entered. An officer allegedly told [redacted] to "get the fuck down" (Allegation B). The officers then entered the bedroom and as she was naked, [redacted] stated that she wanted to get a blanket, at which point an officer allegedly replied, "No. Get the fuck down on the ground" (also Allegation B). An officer then grabbed [redacted] by her arm and allegedly stated, "Get the fuck down" (also Allegation B). At some point an officer reportedly pulled [redacted] to the ground and allegedly told her to put her legs "straight down on the fucking ground" (Allegation C, also allegation B).
Det. Kimberly Daly, also of Queens Gang Squad, entered the bedroom, helped [redacted] get dressed, and then escorted her to the living room. As [redacted] sat on the living room couch, Det. Javier Velez searched the apartment. She was arrested for [redacted].
While at the 114th Precinct stationhouse, [redacted] reportedly asked Det. Velez to see a copy of the search warrant. [redacted] was allegedly shown the search warrant for only a brief moment, and she was unable to read it (Allegation D). [redacted] was released with a Desk Appearance Ticket.
