On August 14, 2018 at approximately 11:12AM, [redacted] was inside her apartment, located at [redacted] in the Bronx, when she awoke to banging on the door. Police Officer Shawn Moynihan, of PSA 7, banged on the door with his asp, causing damage to the door and told [redacted] "We're gonna take the door if you don't open it" (Allegations A and B- Abuse of Authority: [redacted] exited the apartment and PO Moynihan spoke discourteously toward her (Allegation C-Discourtesy: [redacted]). Sergeant Paul Pereyra, also of PSA 7, entered and searched [redacted] s apartment (Allegations D and E- Abuse of Authority: [redacted]); [redacted] was not arrested or summonsed as a result of this incident.
Paul Pereyra's rank changed from "Sergeant" to "Police Officer" between the date of the incident and the present. He will be referenced in the report by the rank he held at the time of the incident.
