Summary

On August 9, 2018, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Detective Jonathan Bulzomi, Police Officer Bernard Corso, and Detective Herold Alexis, of the Brooklyn North Warrant Squad (580), arrested [redacted] at his apartment located at [redacted] in Brooklyn, pursuant to two open I-Cards for his arrest. Det. Bulzomi, PO Corso, and Det. Alexis allegedly kicked [redacted]'s apartment door down (Allegations A, B, and C: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]). Det. Bulzomi, PO Corso, and Det. Alexis allegedly jumped on top of [redacted] (Allegations D, E, and F: Force, [redacted]) and laid on top of him, restricting his breathing (Allegations G, H, and I: Force, [redacted]). Detective Peter Colombini, of the 75th Precinct Detective Squad (296), processed [redacted]'s arrest. [redacted] was charged with [redacted].

[redacted] (01 Board Review) said he was inside of his apartment and walked by his apartment front door when Det. Bulzomi, PO Corso, and Det. Alexis kicked his door down. The door hit [redacted] causing him to fall to the floor, and his head to bleed. The officers jumped on top of [redacted] and laid on top of him for approximately one to two minutes, restricting his breathing, though he did not tell the officers that he could not breathe. The officers handcuffed [redacted] and transported him to the 75th Precinct stationhouse. After Det. Colombini processed [redacted]'s arrest, he complained of head and neck pain.
