On August 28, 2018, at approximately 7:22 a.m., [redacted] was sleeping in her home, located at [redacted] in Manhattan when her neighbors texted her to let her know that police officers were banging on her front door. When [redacted] approached the front door, she noticed that her peephole was missing and the officers were shining flashlights in (Allegations A: Abuse of Authority-[redacted] and Allegation B: Abuse of [redacted]). Detective Thomas Napolitano from Brooklyn Warrants asked through the closed door whether [redacted] son, [redacted] was in the apartment. [redacted] opened her door, and asked to see the warrant before the officers entered (Allegation C: Abuse of Authority - [redacted]). Detective Napolitano told her that he would show it to her, and he entered and searched [redacted] apartment (Allegation D: Abuse of Authority [redacted] within allegation B). During the apprehension of [redacted], Det. Napolitano allegedly stated, "Let's get the mother, let's lock her up" and "I should arrest you for harboring a fugitive" (Allegation E: Abuse of Authority - [redacted]).
