On January 2, 2019, at approximately 3 a.m., at [redacted] in Brooklyn, Detective Matthew Demaio of Strategic Response Group Anti-Crime (SRG) stopped [redacted] (Allegation A: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]). Det. Demaio allegedly pointed his gun at [redacted] (Allegation B: Force, [redacted]). An officer punched [redacted] in the corner of his right eye (Allegation C: Force, [redacted]). Officers carried [redacted] down the stairs and an officer pushed [redacted]'s head down so that his head made contact with every stair (Allegation D: Force, [redacted]). Once on the first floor, an officer pushed [redacted]'s head and slammed it into the floor, and another officer punched [redacted] in the lower lip (Allegations E and F: Force, [redacted]). As the officers carried [redacted] toward the door of the building, the officers intentionally slammed him into a wall (Allegation G: Force, [redacted]). An officer pulled [redacted]'s hoodie over his head and tucked it into his jacket, restricting his breathing (Allegation H: Force, [redacted]).
