Summary

On January 9, 2018, at approximately 2:55 p.m. at [redacted] in Manhattan, PO Brent Andreoli and PO Michael Haigh of the 19th Precinct knocked on [redacted]'s apartment door, in response to a call about criminal mischief. [redacted] was asked to step outside and once in the hallway, both officers allegedly punched him (Allegations A and B, Force, [redacted]). Additional officers from the 19th Precinct responded. PO Roque Leo allegedly jumped on [redacted]'s chest, breaking his ribs, and continued to kick him (Allegation C, Force, [redacted]). PO Andreoli threatened to use a taser against [redacted] (Allegation D, Abuse of Authority, [redacted]). PO Haigh allegedly held an unknown weapon against [redacted]'s head and said, "I'll do it motherfucker," (Allegations E, Abuse of Authority and F, Discourtesy, [redacted]). PO Andreoli allegedly whispered faggot in [redacted]'s ear (Allegation G, Offensive Language, [redacted]). PO Christopher Diaz and PO Tiffany Pedroza of the 19th Precinct also responded. An unidentified officer told [redacted] they [officers] were there to, "Save his ass," (Allegation H, Discourtesy, [redacted]). Unidentified officers allegedly threatened to murder and shoot [redacted] (Allegation I, Abuse of Authority, [redacted]). [redacted]'s partner and roommate, [redacted], exited the residence and stood in the hallway.
