On January 5, 2020, [redacted] was walking along Bryant Avenue and East 172nd Street in the Bronx, when a plainclothes officer in an unmarked vehicle said to him, "Yo" to get [redacted]'s attention. [redacted] backed away from the vehicle, thinking the occupants may be gang members. Once officers opened their vehicle doors, [redacted] feared for his life and ran in the opposite direction and ducked behind a vehicle. [redacted] was soon approached by Police Officer Sandy Nunez, Police Officer Fitz Edouard, and Sergeant Alexander Velasquez, all of the 42nd Precinct. PO Nunez asked [redacted] where the guns and drugs were (Allegation A: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]).
