Summary

On January 19, 2021, at approximately 3:00 p.m., [redacted] and his fiancée, [redacted] were in their home, [redacted] in Staten Island. [redacted] heard three bangs on the apartment door, and therein Lieutenant Matthew Harrison, accompanied by Police Officer William Dawson, Police Officer Matthew Panik, Police Mario Avenoso, Police Officer Vanessa Sherlock, and Police Officer James Krebs of the 120th Precinct, entered the apartment after Lt. Harrison instructed PO Panik to "take the door" (Allegation A: Abuse of Authority-Property Damaged, exonerated; Allegation B: Entry of Premises, exonerated; Allegation C: Abuse of Authority-Search of Premises, exonerated). After entering, PO Dawson drew and pointed his Taser at [redacted] (Allegation D: Abuse of Authority-Threat of Force, exonerated).
