Description: On May 14, 2020, Plaintiff was lawfully driving in Brooklyn when he was pulled over by officers. The officers searched plaintiff's vehicle and falsely claimed to have recovered a firearm in Plaintiff's possession. Defendants then falsely arrested and maliciously prosecuted plaintiff of gun possession charged. As a result Plaintiff was held until August 18,2020 with charges dismissed on November 23, 2020.

Description: On or about July 31, 2019, at approximately 5:30 p.m., plaintiff Tyquan Spann was arrested without cause by officers of the New York Police Department (NYPD) near 82 Amboy Street, Brooklyn. Defendants P.O. Jason L. Smith, P.O. Joseph C. Sicari, and other unidentified officers detained Spann at gunpoint, directing him to lie on the ground. While he complied, the officers proceeded to kick him, pin him down with their knees on his head, and tightly handcuff him, causing cuts and bruises to his wrists.
