Description: On September 3, 2021, Plaintiffs were in a vehicle when Defendant NYPD police officers stopped them, removed them from the vehicle, and unlawfully searched them. No contraband was recovered from the search. However, the officers proceeded to tightly handcuff and arrest Plaintiffs on the pretext of conducting an investigation, although the officers would not disclose the basis of the investigation. Plaintiffs were taken to the precinct and detained for about 2 days, during which the officers maliciously provided the DA's office with misleading evidence and allegations against them. Description: On January 1, 2021, plaintiff was lawfully in the vicinity of 261 East 39th Street, where he was by the bar talking with a friend as the party was coming to an end, and he observed a man run past him towards the back of the room with several defendant POs in pursuit. Description: On or about November 13, 2018, NYPD officers Salvatore Rizzo and Roger Jasmin knocked on the front door to Plaintiff's apartment and ordered her to come with them to the precinct. Plaintiff was about to get into the shower, so she covered her body with a jacket, not wearing anything underneath, and answered the door. The officers immediately handcuffed and falsely imprisoned Plaintiff without probable cause. They refused her request to put on additional clothing and transported her to the 6th Precinct, where she was unlawfully searched, fingerprinted, photographed, and detained for 24 hours by unnamed officers.
