She was detained, handcuffed and placed in a cell without a warrant. Defendants detective Joseph Borrero and detective Asim Karim assaulted and battered plaintiff by intentionally offensively touching and searching her.

Description: On November 15, 2020, Plaintiff David Conyers, an African-American man, was stopped in his vehicle despite not committing any traffic or equipment violations by P.O.s Borrero, Brovakos, and unknown P.O.s John Does 1-10. The officers approached Mr. Conyers' vehicle and requested his license and registration, which he provided. The officers returned to their vehicle, reapproached Mr. Conyers, and advised him that they were gong to search his vehicle. They had no probable cause or reasonable suspicion to do so.
