Description: On September 28, 2022, Rahmel Biggins (Plaintiff) was approached by defendants absent an arrest warrant, probable cause, reasonable cause or any legal justification, and summarily stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, battered, and detained him in an aggressive and excessive manner. Plaintiff was then arraigned after his arrest and thereafter falsely and maliciously prosecuted with committing a crime. Plaintiff remained incarcerated for over 24 hours, and was required to make numerous court appearances over an extended period of time until all charges against him were terminated favorably.

Description: On January 1, 2019, plaintiff was driving while intoxicated and decided to pull over and exit his vehicle. While plaintiff stood outside of his vehicle, NYPD officers Rahul Dass and Maribel Sarante threw him to the ground and beat him. The officers removed and covered their body cameras before beating plaintiff. The officers then drove plaintiff to a precinct where he was held until being transported to Bellevue Hospital for treatment. Dass and Sarante made false accusations that plaintiff had acted violently toward them during the arrest. Further, NYPD officer Lateef Stinson falsely accused plaintiff of punching Dass.
