Description: On March 1, 2013 NYPD Officers unlawfully broke down the door to Plaintiffs' apartment and falsely accused Plaintiffs of possessing an unlicensed firearm. Plaintiff Michelle Bell was handcuffed in the apartment for approximately 3 hours. Plaintiff Joshua Bell-Simon was thrown to the ground where officers pointed rifles at him and one pinned him to the ground with foot. He was arrested at the apartment and transported to the 73rd precinct. After approximately 24 hours in custody, he was released with no charges filed against him.
