Description: On July 14, 2016, at approximately 2:30am, Plaintiffs Rebecca Edelstein and Jancairo Andujar were sitting in Edelstein's vehicle parked in front of a bodega near 509 51st Street in Brooklyn, NY when they were stopped without probable cause by Defendant NYPD officers DANIEL A. MARTIN (Shield 16213), PEDRO RODRIGUEZ (Shield 28987), and DENNIS HOE (Shield 3915). After Plaintiffs were ordered out of the vehicle and Andujar was immediately placed in handcuffs, the officers conducted a warrantless search of the vehicle, which included a search of Edelstein's closed school bag where the officers allegedly found a police placard. Both Plaintiffs were then arrested and transported to the 72nd Precinct with Officers MART...
