Description: On May 3, 2020 at approximately 1:00 p.m., Plaintiffs Gray and Castillo were lawfully in the vicinity of 1530 Mermaid Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. Plaintiff Gray was on his way to a bodega at West 15th Street and Mermaid Avenue. Outside a laundromat near 1530 Mermaid Avenue, Plaintiff Gray approached Plaintiff Castillo to say hello. Plaintiffs were wearing masks and observing social distancing guidelines. Approximately six NYPD officers, including Officers Nicole Fox, Michael Knott, and other unnamed officers asked the people gathered outside the laundromat to disperse, which Plaintiffs did.
