Description: On September 14, 2011, plaintiff Vanessa Johnson and her children's apartment was unlawfully searched by defendant NYPD officers without a valid warrant. The NYPD officers were looking for a previous resident of the apartment, plaintiff Wayne Millington, who plaintiff Vanessa Johnson did not know. While searching her apartment, defendant officers unlawfully handcuffed Ms. Johnson's two children. Plaintiff tried calling 911 to complain that her children were being handcuffed, but an officer seized her phone and told the operator that police were already at the scene.
