Description: On February 20, 2021, the two Plaintiffs were at home when POs Mcguirewright, Dillon, Zweifler, Minardi, Priore, and unknown POs 1-10 entered their home. The POs had obtained a search warrant by providing false and incomplete information to the authorizing judge. The POs did not have any probable cause or reasonable suspicion to arrest Plaintiffs, nor did they tell Plaintiffs what they were being arrested for. The two Plaintiffs were unlawfully detained for 48 and 6 hours, respectively. Over the course of these events, the POs applied excessively tight handcuffs to Plaintiffs' wrists and otherwise caused emotional and physical injuries to Plaintiffs. All charges against Plaintiffs were dismissed.

Description: On or about August 3, 2018, plaintiff GRAY was lawfully present in the vicinity of 60 Moore St. plaintiff was accosted by several members of the NYPD, including defendants MATIREYES, GREGG, and/or POLICE OFFICERS “JOHN DOE” #1-10. Plaintiff had not committed any crimes or offenses. Defendants directed plaintiff to provide them with identification. In response, plaintiff requested to know why he was being detained, but did not refuse to provide identification. Description: The March 26, 2018, plaintiff was driving home with some friends in the car when he was pulled over by defendant NYPD officers outside of Sunset Park Recreation Center. The defendants immediately directed the plaintiff and his friends to step out of the vehicle. Shortly after, the defendants forcibly grabbed the plaintiff and removed him and applied tight handcuffs to his wrists. The plaintiff was then transported to the 72nd Precinct and searched but nothing was recovered.

Description: On May 25, 2014, plaintiff was lawfully walking at or near the intersection of Alabama Avenue and New Lots Avenue in Kings County, NYC. Without any warning, the defendants approached plaintiff and began subjecting him to excessive force. Specifically, defendants struck plaintiff on his right eye, causing him to sustain pain and serious injuries. Plaintiff was searched and placed into handcuffs. The search yielded no evidence of drugs or contraband. Defendants detained plaintiff and he was held for several hours in a local area precinct. Defendants also obstructed local emergency medical services of performing their duties. Defendants also gave false statements about what occurred.

Description: On or about March 12, 2012 Plaintiffs were lawfully present at a park when PO Justin Grieco, PO Gregg Minardi, PO THomas Napolitano, Sgt. Adnan Radoncic, and POs John Does 1-10 subjected Plaintiffs to unreasonable force, verbal abuse, unlawful searches, humiliation, and other deprivation of rights. Plaintiffs were targeted due to racist policies endorsed by the NYPD. Plaintiffs were unlawfully detained, subjected to retinal scans and other criminal processing, then released out of a side door without ever being arraigned. Plaintiffs sustained serious injuries, pain, shock, mental anguish, public and private humiliation, and expenses for legal representation and medical care as a result of this incident.
