Description: The plaintiffs were outside their residence when the defendant officers approached and began to question the plaintiffs. The plaintiffs responded they had done nothing wrong and that the officers had no jurisdiction to be on their property without a warrant. The defendant officers then placed the plaintiff 1 in a choke-hold and over the course of the next few minutes the defendant officers assaulted both plaintiff 1 and his girlfriend in their own front yard, threatened the plaintiff 2 when they saw him on the telephone, and finally took both plaintiffs to a nearby precinct for unspecified charges. Both cases were dismissed and plaintiff 1 had to be hospitalized for injuries sustained by the defendant officers.

Description: Defendant Officers approached Plaintiff while he was in the front yard of a friend's home and when Plaintiff asked if they had a warrant to enter, Defendant Officer Douglas grabbed him, hit him with a baton, put him in a chokehold, pepper sprayed him, and assaulted him and his girlfriend. Plaintiff 1 was being put in an ambulance when Plaintiff 2 was asked to record the incident. Officers then assaulted Plaintiff 2, arrested him, took him to the 102nd precinct, and charged him with disorderly conduct, which was later dismissed. Plaintiff 1 had unspecified charges filed against him that were also later dismissed.
