Description: On October 24, 2014 at approximately 1:30 PM, Plaintiff Khalil McKenely, an African-American male, was standing on the street outside Slice N Co pizzeria on 95 MacDougal Street when he observed an individual coming out of the restaurant with several water bottles. Khalil then observed a "frantic" pizzeria employee yelling/screaming at the individual with the bottles. Then, three officers, including Lieutenant Jorge Tavarez, approached Khalil with guns drawn. Tavarez pointed his gun very close to Khalil's face. Khalil asked "Why are you pointing your guns at me?" and the officers replied "You are talking too much." An officer then handcuffed Khalil.

Description: On May 6, 2011, Plaintiff was lawfully in the vicinity of a Bar and Lounge in the Bronx when he starting speaking with two females who happened to be undercover Defendant Officers Mercado and Fuertes. Plaintiff had not committed any crime when Defendant Officers Bucknell and John Doe 1 approached and arrested him. Plaintiff was subsequently struck in the head and body by the Defendant Officers while Defendant officers Valentin and Ozuna approached and assisted in the false arrest. Back at the precinct Defendant Officers manufactured false evidence and used the same against Plaintiff in legal proceedings.

Description: The plaintiffs were ordering pizzas and the individuals who worked at the location refused to give the plaintiffs the fresh pizzas and instead offered them the stale old ones. The plaintiffs felt discriminated based on their race and called 911. When the defendant officers arrived, they ignored the plaintiffs and instead treated them as though they were the ones in the wrong. The officers refused to watch the surveillance video and instead arrested the plaintiffs based on false accusations by the restaurant workers. The plaintiffs were taken to a nearby precinct and charged with trespassing. The charges were later dismissed.

Description: Plaintiff observed NYPD officers arresting an individual and saw that they were using excessive force. Plaintiff took out his phone to record the incident. Officer Ozuna approached the plaintiff and told him to back away. The plaintiff continued to record, but moved away. Officer Ozuna then grabbed the plaintiff and threw him to the ground. Officer Ozuna and other officers then began to beat him and drag him around on the concrete. The plaintiff was then placed in tight handcuffs and was arrested.
