Summary

On August 24, 2021, at approximately 7:20 PM, [redacted] drove to her ex-husband's home at [redacted] in Staten Island to speak to her daughter against a standing Order of Protection (OOP). [redacted] called 911 to ask for police assistance to speak to her daughter and Police Officer Michael Masullo and Police Officer James Burns from the 122nd Precinct responded to that location.
At one point, while PO Burns was speaking to another civilian, [redacted] attempted to drive away against officers' instructions and PO Masullo attempted to pull [redacted] out of her vehicle (Allegation A: Force, Miscellaneous - [redacted]). [redacted] then pushed PO Masullo away and drove forward. Both PO Burns and PO Masullo pointed their guns at [redacted] to get her to stop driving (Allegation B: Force, [redacted] & Allegation C: Force, Miscellaneous - [redacted]). PO Masullo then used profanity when instructing [redacted] to exit her vehicle (Allegation D: Discourtesy, Miscellaneous - [redacted]). Both PO Burn and PO Masullo then removed [redacted] from her vehicle and allegedly shoved her against a second vehicle to handcuff her (Allegation E: Force, [redacted] & Allegation F: Force, Miscellaneous - [redacted]). [redacted] was arrested and charged with violating the order of protection and obstruction of governmental administration (Board Review 1).
[redacted] was taken to the 122nd Precinct stationhouse and then, upon request, to the [redacted] Hospital. While there, PO Masullo allegedly told a nurse [redacted] was "a little bit off," pointed to his head, and said not to listen to anything [redacted] said (Allegation G: Offensive Language, Miscellaneous - [redacted] Allegations H and I: Discourtesy, Miscellaneous - [redacted]). When medical staff gave [redacted] her discharge documentation, PO Masullo allegedly took it from [redacted] hands and did not return it (Allegation #: Abuse of Authority, Miscellaneous - [redacted]). [redacted] was later released from custody.
The following day, August 25, 2021, [redacted]... Read report for details.
