Description: On September 1, 2020, plaintiff (a minor) was illegally stopped and searched by police officers Richard McKnight (Shield No. 7955), Edmundo Rivera (Shiled No. 696), Brian Mahon (Shield No. 26892), and Daniel Campbell. The officers were in plainclothes and in an unmarked SUV when they approached plaintiff on the street, got out of the vehicle, and searched plaintiff's body, clothes, and fanny pack. They made comments suggesting plaintiff, an African American child, "looked like" he would have crack cocaine or carry a gun. They left and did not provide Right to Know card to Plaintiff.

Description: The first incident occurred when a NYPD patrol car was shot with a BB gun. Four people who were seen on surveillance camera were later taken into custody for this incident. Later the same day, Plaintiffs were walking on the street when they were approached by a police vehicle and told to stop what they were doing. Description: On February 1, 2013, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Plaintiffs were walking on Graham Avenue near Moore Street in Brooklyn, New York when multiple NYPD Officers, including Defendants Mathew, Campbell, and Garcia, assaulted and arrested the Plaintiffs with excessive force. Plaintiffs were transported to the 90th Precinct where they were each issued a desk appearance for Disorderly Conduct and released on their own recognizance. Description: Defendant Officer pulled over Plaintiff's car that had 3 other passengers in it, ordered everyone out, and searched it. Officers allegedly found heroin in one of the passengers clothes and then arrested everyone from the car. Officers falsely told the DA the heroin was in plain view in the car. Plaintiff's charges were eventually dismissed.
