Summary

On August 2, 2017, [redacted] was asleep in his home, located at [redacted] in Brooklyn. At approximately 6:00 a.m., he was awoken by a "banging" sound at the entry door of the apartment. [redacted] immediately went to the door and, seeing individuals he did not recognize outside of it, held his hands against the door in an attempt to prevent the individuals from entering. The door was pushed open, causing [redacted] to fall to the ground, strike his head on the floor, and sustain neck and back pain (Allegation A). Sergeant Parfenoff, Police Officer Steven Droluk, Police Officer Ugur Bek, Captain Robert Bava, Police Officer Stanley Mateo, Detective Michael Kobus, Police Officer Vincent Dibenedetto, Police Officer Michael Cama, and Police Officer Michael Wolfe, all from Narcotics Borough Brooklyn South, entered the apartment (Allegation B). Police Officer Droluk allegedly struck [redacted] with a ballistic shield one time on the left side of his forehead (Allegation C). Officers searched the apartment (within Allegation B).
[redacted] complained of injuries and was transported to [redacted] in Brooklyn and subsequently to Manhattan Central Booking ("MCB").
