On August 21, 2018, at approximately 9:56 p.m., [redacted] s mother, [redacted] called 911 to have [redacted] removed to the hospital. PO Marlon Wright and PO Salvator Maida of the 52nd Precinct and EMS arrived in front of [redacted] in the Bronx. [redacted] refused to go to the hospital. As the officers tried to restrain [redacted] PO Wright and PO Maida took [redacted] down to the ground (Allegation A: Force, [redacted]; Allegation B: Force, [redacted]). While on the ground, PO Wright placed his knee against [redacted] s chest and allegedly restricted his breathing (Allegation C: Force, [redacted]).
At some point while [redacted] was on the ground. additional officers of the 52nd Precinct arrived on the scene. PO Jessica Riverasantana assisted with restraining [redacted] and allegedly restricted [redacted] s breathing (Allegation D: Force, [redacted]). PO Omar Carrascotatis of the 52nd Precinct pushed [redacted] and directed various profanities towards [redacted] (Allegation E: Force, [redacted]; Allegation F: Discourtesy, [redacted]). [redacted] began recording the incident and in response, PO Carrascotatis allegedly used his flashlight to interfere with [redacted] s ability to record and refused to provide his name to [redacted] (Allegation G: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]). As the officers carried [redacted] to the ambulance, an officer allegedly told [redacted] "Shut the fuck up before I taser your little ass" (Allegation H: Discourtesy, [redacted]; Allegation I: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]).
