On October 5, 2021, at approximately 11:15 PM, in the vicinity of Boerum Street and Bushwick Avenue in Brooklyn, [redacted] and [redacted] exited a convenience store located at the location. Sergeant Joanna Barletta, Police Officer Volkan Maden and Police Officer Piotr Trusewicz of the 90th Precinct drove past the store in an unmarked vehicle. [redacted] waved at the officers as they passed. The officers made a U-turn and pulled over in front of [redacted]. The officers exited the vehicle and PO Maden and PO Trusewicz approached [redacted]. PO Maden instructed [redacted] to present his identification (Allegation A: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]). PO Maden then grabbed and placed [redacted] in handcuffs (Allegation B: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]). [redacted] and [redacted] argued with the officers about why they stopped [redacted].
