On June 1, 2020, [redacted] and [redacted] attended a march in Manhattan that began at Union Square Park and was supposed to conclude at Trump Tower in Midtown. When the protest reached the West 50s and Sixth Avenue, some individuals began looting businesses, and calls for backup soon began bombarding the radio around the 18th precinct (Midtown North). Just before 8:42 p.m., [redacted] passed West 55th Street and Sixth Avenue, approaching West 56th Street, and [redacted] and [redacted] began recording a video on his cell phone. At some point, Lieutenant Richard Mack of Strategic Response Group 4 engaged his pepper spray toward a group of individuals running toward him (Allegation A: Force – Pepper Spray, Exonerated).
