Summary

On December 8, 2021, at approximately 8:20 p.m., PO Sergio Meneses and PO Shannon Walter, both of the 69th Precinct, responded to a 911 call regarding a robbery in progress and chased [redacted] to [redacted] apartment, located at [redacted] in Brooklyn. Outside of [redacted] apartment, PO Meneses pointed a taser at [redacted] (Allegation A: Abuse of Authority – Threat of Force, Within NYPD Guidelines). PO Meneses and PO Walter grabbed, pulled, and pushed [redacted] while trying to place him into handcuffs (Allegations B and C: Force – Physical Force, Within NYPD Guidelines). PO Michael Sannella, PO Ahmad Yaqubi, PO Andre Morris, and PO Aubrey Hammond, all of the 69th Precinct (PO Sannella has since been promoted to sergeant and transferred to the Force Analysis Division, and PO Morris has since been transferred to the 84th Precinct Detective Squad) used physical force when placing [redacted] in handcuffs (Allegations I-L: Force – Physical Force, Within NYPD Guidelines).
